Responsible Marketing

Ecotourism operations must be marketed responsibly and Ecotourism
Ireland expects that all marketing material is designed so that the portrayal of
the ecotourism experience on offer is an accurate picture of what the visitor can
expect.

Ecotourism Ireland strongly encourages the use of paperless web based
marketing, believing that this holds great environmental benefits, and where
brochures and other printed material have to be used, we hope that these are produced in as environmentally friendly manner as possible.

Measures have also been included to promote the development of links between
other ecotourism operators and organisations thus hopefully stimulating the further development and growth of ecotourism internationally
